The lodge is 517 square meters under roof with an additional 535 square meters of decking, outside living, and entertainment areas. Designed by Nicholas Plewman, one of South Africa's more revered leisure architects, the lodge has extremely clean lines with each one of the 5 bedroom suites created to ensure its guests enjoy complete privacy while enjoying the ambiance of the surrounding bushveld. Plenty of living areas and outside spaces coupled with the layout makes it ideal for families with elder children, business persons who entertain clients, or families who regularly entertain guests.
Additional niceties include a gym, library, study, internet connection, cell phone booster, and 25KVA backup generator.
The lodge is sold on a lock stock basis and includes all furniture and appliances as well as a fully equipped game viewing Land Rover.
The property is serviced by electricity and borehole water. A reverse osmosis water purification system is built in and ensures a continual supply of purified water to the taps. The "camp area" is surrounded by an electrified Kenyan fence and includes double domestic quarters.
The Karongwe Game Reserve enjoys good rainfall due to its proximity to the Drakensberg mountain range and therefore has a naturally higher carrying capacity for wildlife in comparison to other areas within the lowveld. Birdlife is also excellent with altitudinal migrants and forest species occurring in conjunction with the lowvelds usual suspects. Traversing is over the whole reserve which ensures brilliant game drives and an excellent variety in landscape and terrains.
This really is a must see property.
