Heidelberg and Nigel are up and coming towns and many like living there due to the ease of access to the N3 highway each town provides. Johannesburg is only about 50 kilometers North-West of the area. Heidelberg and Nigel are close to the Mpumalanga border but are interestingly enough still considered part of the East Rand area of Johannesburg. Just south of Heidelberg is the De Hoek toll plaza on the newest section of the N3, which opened in December 2001.
Heidelberg is well-known for sitting on the edge of the Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve. It is a large tract of land that amazingly contains the province of Gauteng's highest point - almost 2,000 meters above sea level. On a clear day the buildings of Johannesburg can be seen from certain parts of the Nature Reserve. Nigel is a small gold mining town and is a wonderful place to live.
The property is worth taking a look at and is an amazing piece of land.
