The GBCSA is currently seeking volunteers to participate in the Technical Working Group (TWG) for the development of the much anticipated Green Star SA – Performance rating tool.
The Green Star SA – Performance rating tool for existing buildings will enable the effective measurement of a building’s environmental performance in operation. The rating tool will benchmark the actual environmental performance achieved by a building across various environmental categories. Examples of environmental issues addressed include: actual energy and water consumption performance, waste management performance, green cleaning practices, green procurement policies, etc.
What is a TWG?
A TWG is a volunteer body of industry professionals who are experts on a diverse range of topics covered by the Green Star SA rating tool under development; the group guides the process of tool development by providing input on all credits as well as overall tool/category focus. An outsourced professional consultant will undertake the detailed technical development on the Green Star SA – Performance tool, however TWG members will be able to review this development work and provide technical advice where appropriate.
To form the Technical Working Group, the GBCSA is seeking experts in key building operations, facilities management and maintenance focus areas.
