It is always great to report on the expansion of South African business players. According to Michael Bauer, managing director of the estate agency IHPC, there is an increasing number of companies from other countries in Africa as well as Europe who have set up major business operations in South Africa and as a result, IHPC have decided to expand their operations to cover the City Bowl market and much of the Atlantic Seaboard, which property is particularly in demand from these corporates. Following a group restructuring to facilitate South African direct investment in Redefine International on Monday the 28th of October, the company completed its inward listing on the JSE’s main board. See an article titled Redefine International lists on JSE's main board for a fulll story.

With a dark cloud of e-tolls looming in the air in Gauteng, Jan Davel, MD of the RealNet estate agency group fears that the toll fees are going to place an additional strain on household budgets and many people who currently use the freeways to commute long distances to work will want to relocate to avoid them.
